Jakarta Provincial Government to provide Cheap Food Movement or locally known as Gerakan Pangan Murah (GPM) at 193 locations ahead and during Ramadan. The program provides cheaper foodstuffs compared to the markets.

Acting Jakarta Regional Secretary's Assistant of Economy and Financial, Suharini Eliawati said the program aims to maintain foodstuffs stock, price, and distribution ahead of Ramadan and Eid ul Fitr.
"The program is run up to Eid ul Fitr 2025," she said, Monday (2/24).

"The program to be run on 193 locations as government's effort in maintaining foodstuffs' price and stock. Please tell us if the non-governmental offices have suggestion," she added.
Eli explained the program will use food truck due to high mobility. The Food-based BUMD will reach up to RW office is the vehicles can not reach the location.
"Just like the Food Station, they can serve up to eight locations. The vehicle can move to other locations easily to get higher buyers," she explained.
She continued several products to be sold in a package concept like syrup, cooking oil and rice with cheaper price. But the residents remain have option to buy in single item.
"We ensure that the price will be cheaper compared to the markets. The percentage may vary based on the commodities," she continued.
Special in this program, Jakarta Provincial Government will provide rice in a 2,5 kilogram package based on Jakarta Vice Governor and Regional Secretary's direction. It is aimed to ease residents paying their charity (zakat).
The locations to run the program are as follows;
- City Hall: 15 times
- Mayor Office: 30 times
- Urban Village Offices 132 times
- Flats: 9 times
- RPTRA: 2 times
- Dhanapala Building:3 times
- SMK Sejahtera: 1 time
- Cinta Housing Complex, Cengkareng Sub-district: 1 time
